Tailcoat Tailor Made
A Timeless Tailored Tailcoat: Crafted for Exceptional Occasions
Step into the grandeur of tradition and style with a custom-tailored tailcoat, a masterful piece of craftsmanship that elevates any special occasion. This tailcoat, made from 340-gram combed wool in a lively herringbone weave, adds a contemporary twist to a classic choice.
The Lively Herringbone Weave:
Choosing a herringbone weave adds a subtly dynamic element to the tailcoat. Instead of the typical plain fabric, the herringbone pattern imparts a vibrant character, making the tailcoat look less formal and effortlessly adapting to modern style preferences.
Black Waistcoat: A Personal Expression
Traditionally, a tailcoat is worn with a white waistcoat, but here we make a bold choice by crafting the waistcoat in the same black fabric as the rest of the suit. This imparts a contemporary and cohesive look to the ensemble. The silk-finished lapels and waistcoat add a touch of luxury, giving the tailcoat personality.
History and Etiquette of the Tailcoat:
The tailcoat has a rich history dating back to the 18th century. Originally designed as formal evening wear, the tailcoat remains a symbol of elegance and style. According to traditional etiquette, the tailcoat is worn at very formal events such as White Tie occasions, weddings, operas, and formal dinners. It is characterized by distinctive details, including the black tails of the jacket, the white shirt with a wingtip collar, the white bow tie, and the matching black trousers.
Tailored Tailcoat: A Personal Expression
A custom-tailored tailcoat provides the opportunity to blend traditional elegance with personal expression. By choosing specific fabrics, finishes, and details, we create together a unique ensemble that perfectly aligns with your style and the nature of the occasion.
A custom tailcoat is more than just clothing; it is a timeless investment in style and distinction. Wear it with pride at the most memorable moments and let the grandeur of the past merge with today's personal elegance.
Three dinner jackets, one pair of trousers, and the alchemy of quiet elegance
Some clients have taste, others have vision. When both come together, something rare is possible: clothing that is not only correct, but layered, personal, and surprisingly versatile.

That’s how the conversation started with a calm gentleman, tall and lean, the owner of a biotech investment fund. Not a man of spectacle, but of precision. Not searching for a garment, but for certainty — something that simply feels right, for himself and for the occasion.
We didn’t create just a tuxedo, we created possibilities. Three dinner jackets paired with one classic black trouser, made for fundraisers, formal dinners and receptions. Traditional moments, with room for a modern interpretation of style. A quiet version of formal freedom.
For a special occasion, we were commissioned to create a bespoke jacket that goes beyond mere aesthetics. The wearer will don this garment during an official visit by H.M. King Willem-Alexander 🇳🇱, and requested a design that is at once personal, representative, and symbolic.
Fabric as the Starting Point
The fabric is an exclusive design by Dutch designer Aziz Bekkaoui. Bekkaoui is renowned for his layered, culturally resonant designs in which identity, elegance, and social commentary converge. This particular fabric carries that signature: a visually powerful statement, with enough subtlety to allow for refined bespoke tailoring.
Formal tailoring in its purest form
A white suit immediately evokes images of evening wear, summer formality, and a touch of Hollywood glamour. But when it comes to a bespoke 4x1 double-breasted suit in white barathea, we’re speaking about something very specific: a garment that balances classical ceremony with modern confidence.
For a gentleman attending a wedding who wanted to appear appropriately dressed and full of confidence, we designed a unique dinner jacket. Traditional tuxedos and dinner jackets did not appeal to him, and he was looking for something special that he could continue to wear beyond the wedding.
