The Covert Coat is a knee-high rain resistant overcoat made in Twill. The name is derived from the old English word for “a thicket hiding game” and is originally worn during Horse riding.
A classic overcoat in a whopping 850 gram grey lambswool. The overcoat has a 4-button closing, a belt with metal buckle, stitched on pockets with flap, no split and buttons on the sleeve. The overcoat is constructed in full canvas. A beautiful vintage garment traditionally made for the colder months.
The Peacoat is as practical as it is stylish and warm, especially when made in Cashmere Wool like this bespoke variant. The term Peacoat probably derived from the old Dutch of West Frisian word for Pijjekker. The Peacoat has made its origin at least in 1720 and was primarily worn by sailors. The long variant is called Bridge Coat. The Peacoat has broad lapels, a broad collar, big buttons and vertical pockets.
