This is one of the 3 tailcoats we tailored for the 40th anniversary of a concert pianist.
The model is actually quite classic, but the choice of fabric and colour makes it a very distinguished and striking ensemble. The golden blazer buttons and flared trousers with silk piping add the finishing touch the the attire.
The fabric is a 380 grams Velvet (187909) from the Luxury Velvet collection by Holland & Sherry. Velvet is very suitable for formal events such as a concert due to it’s supple qualities and the elegant appearance it provides.
The inside is finished with Dupioni Silk by Holland & Sherry (217017), creating an extra colour effect. Dupioni silk is naturally irregular due to it’s spinning process, and it provides coolness.
A Tailcoat The Greatest Showman on Earth would suit exactly right.
